Many nail techs ask: "Is primer necessary?"
The answer comes down to personal preference. In our experience, about 50% of clients use primer, while the other 50% don’t. And some only use it on a few clients prone to lifting issues.
If you’re using Silicone Thin Base, primer isn’t essential—thanks to its strong adhesion. That said, some techs prefer using primer as an extra "insurance layer." It’s not a must, but it can offer added peace of mind.
Enhance bonding with optional Primer Pen.
Primer pen is very easy to use – open the cap and apply it like a marker. This primer is acidic, which provides perfect bonding.
Apply on prepped nail, air dry until the nail plate looks chalky white. Use Silicone Thin Base after.
